HeART of Eagan is a core component of Eagan's vibrant public art presence that includes art benches in 20 public parks, major installations, and community art projects. To date, Eagan has an inventory of 44 artworks throughout the community. HeART of Eagan is located on the Art Block, a one-square-mile area in the middle of Eagan that includes the municipal campus, arts organizations, schools, the library, faith communities, residential, and retail.

HeART of Eagan aims to create a sense of place and engagement on the Art Block, in the heart of Eagan, and centered at the City Hall Campus property. In 2026, new artworks will be placed in and around the municipal campus. All artworks will be installed on either concrete or stone pedestals at the following identified locations (locations subject to change):

  • Eagan Civic Arena, interior

  • Eagan City Hall, patio

  • Civic Center Park

  • Wescott Library, exterior

Each selected artist will receive a stipend of $1,000 per year for display of their artwork for two years (June 2026–May 2028). Artwork may be available for sale while on display, but cannot be removed until the public art obligation with the City of Eagan is fulfilled.

The city welcomes the public's comments on the pieces being considered for display.
