From the gritty streets of New York to the colorful cafes of Havana, Guys and Dolls is a wildly entertaining musical comedy to delight audiences of all ages. This fresh production is set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City in a perfect balance of story, dance, music and romance!
HeART of Eagan - Art on Loan Program
HeART of Eagan is a core component of Eagan's vibrant public art presence that includes art benches in 20 public parks, major installations, and community art projects. To date, Eagan has an inventory of 44 artworks throughout the community. HeART of Eagan is located on the Art Block, a one-square-mile area in the middle of Eagan that includes the municipal campus, arts organizations, schools, the library, faith communities, residential, and retail.
HeART of Eagan aims to create a sense of place and engagement on the Art Block, in the heart of Eagan, and centered at the City Hall Campus property. In 2026, new artworks will be placed in and around the municipal campus. All artworks will be installed on either concrete or stone pedestals at the following identified locations (locations subject to change):
Eagan Civic Arena, interior
Eagan City Hall, patio
Civic Center Park
Wescott Library, exterior
Each selected artist will receive a stipend of $1,000 per year for display of their artwork for two years (June 2026–May 2028). Artwork may be available for sale while on display, but cannot be removed until the public art obligation with the City of Eagan is fulfilled.
The city welcomes the public's comments on the pieces being considered for display.

Youth Day at the Capitol (YDAC) attendees will learn how to effectively advocate for an issue of their choosing and practice those advocacy skills during a meeting with their local elected official(s).
SAMPLE SCHEDULE
8:30-8:45: School and community delegations arrive and check in.
9 - 10, 10:15-11:15: Delegations participate in advocacy trainings led by the Minnesota Youth Council, attend panels and legislative update presentations, and spend time in the Minnesota History Center exhibits.
11:30: Join 600 students for a march to the Capitol for a group photo and afternoon activities.
12-3: Lunch on your own, meetings with state legislators (we set up for you), Rotunda activities, and more!

Learn from an e-bike expert and local bike shop owner as they share insights on e-bikes and essential accessory equipment. Bring your questions and get answers on local regulations, best practices, and tips for riding and maintaining your e-bike in the city.
Monster Jam
Monster Jam is back for 2026 and is going to blow your kid’s mind! Maybe your life is ready for some thrilling entertainment, or maybe you need something that is perfectly safe for you, yet still feels a little dangerous. Or, perhaps you just have some kids who LOVE anything with an engine and wheels? Try Monster Jam! Monster Jam is a live sporting event competition featuring seven monster trucks. It showcases the trucks’ abilities to crush cars, fly through the air, and spin.
Touch-a-Truck
Check out big trucks and equipment from several local companies at Winter SKOLstice! This event will consist of a dump truck, front loader, garbage truck, bulldozer, cement mixer, skid steer, side by side, and maybe a few other small pieces of equipment on site. These vehicles will be parked and available for kids to explore and take photos with from 12pm-3pm.
Eagan Art House Heart Sun Catcher
Create unique suncatchers from colorful tissue paper. Perfect for any age or experience level. Drop in to the Eagan Art House between 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 6. All materials provided.
Can’t make it to the February First Friday event? They make free take-home kits for this activity! Stop by the Art House on Saturday, February 7 from 9 a.m. -Noon to grab a kit.
Frosty Festival and Fishing
Bundle up and join us for an afternoon of winter fun! Try your hand at ice fishing, play hungry hippos on the ice, build a snowman in the Snow Sculpture Zone and warm up by the fire with smores and hot cocoa! No fishing license or experience needed during this special event. Equipment and bait will be provided while supplies last or you can bring your own. Activities will be weather-dependent. Community Ice Night
Lace up your skates for an evening of open skating, a bonfire, snacks and outdoor winter games! Open skate with no sticks or pucks will be on the covered rink. The north rink will have winter games like ice bowling and hungry hippo with youth pick up hockey from 8–9pm. In partnership with the Eagan Hockey Association.

Old Fashioned Holiday at Holz Farm
Enjoy an outdoor holiday celebration at Historic Holz Farm. Experience the grounds in a winter wonderland with a self-guided tour and a hayride. Visit with Santa and his reindeer and warm up with a s’more at the bonfire. Santa will be available for photos from Noon to 2:45 p.m. on the porch.
Property Tax Open House
The Dakota County Board of Commissioners will set the maximum property tax levy for 2026 on Sept. 23. The board votes on the 2026 budget and levy in December. County board meetings are public. This year, they are adding a new Budget and Property Tax Open House on Tuesday, Dec 2 at 5:00 pm at the Administration Center in Hastings.

The Open Door Food Drive
Val Jackson is organizing a neighborhood food drive to collect items for The Open Door, Dakota County’s local hunger relief organization. Whether you buy groceries just to donate or search your pantry for items you already have, you’ll be helping families in our area get the food they need.
She will be driving through the neighborhood to collect donations on Friday, November 7, 2025, between the hours of 8:00 am and 1:00 pm. Please leave your bag of items on your front steps during that time for her to pick up.
School Board Voting
Four of the seven at-large positions on the District 196 School Board will be decided in two separate School Board elections on Nov. 4, 2025. The School Board is responsible for developing policy to ensure the proper care, management and control of district affairs, and supporting the district’s mission.
First, three School Board seats are up for election in the General School Board Election. The terms of Robin Cerio, Leah Gardner and Sakawdin Mohamed will expire on Jan. 5, 2026. Each of these three open positions has a four-year term, running from Jan. 2026 to Jan. 2030.
Concurrently, a Special Election will be held to fill the remaining two years of the term of former School Board member Sachin Isaacs, who resigned his seat in Oct. 2024. The School Board appointed Catherine Diamond to fill the vacancy until an election for the open seat is held. The term runs through the first Monday in Jan. 2028.
The School Board has also called for a Special Election to renew and increase the district's technology capital projects levy. Initially approved by voters in 2015, the levy must be renewed this year by voters or the funding will expire.
Halloween Trail Walk - Viking Lakes

Kicks for a Cure
From 9 am to 3 pm, Mayors, City Officials, County Commissioners, and other dignitaries will be kicking field goals to raise money per kick for the elimination of breast cancer. There will be a concurrent event for Kick$4aCure (5th annual) for “just regular folks” to kick and raise funds also. All donations to all kickers will go directly to the American Cancer Society to end Breast Cancer through research, and to create awareness. There is no admission charge to attend the Mayors Cup or Kick$4aCure event.

Get ready for Eagan Food Truck Festival on Friday, Aug. 8 from 4–9 p.m., you won’t want to miss this event!
It’s the highlight of the summer! From sizzling gourmet burgers to flavorful street tacos, globally inspired foods to decadent desserts, the food truck fleet will bring an impressive array of culinary delights that will ignite your senses. The food truck festival caters to everyone, offering many delicious options, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. In addition to delicious food, enjoy live music from TRIZ and PopROCKS!
The free event promises to be a flavorful Friday evening with more than 20 food trucks representing tastes from around the globe. Beer, wine, and seltzer will be served in addition to brews from local breweries, and entertainment by TRIZ from 4–6 p.m. and The Pop Rocks from 6–9 p.m.

Dakota County Fair
The Dakota County Fair takes place annually in Farmington, Minnesota, and is run by the Dakota County Agricultural Society. It features a wide variety of attractions including livestock shows, 4-H competitions, carnival rides, live music, and more. The fair also has special days like Senior Day, Kids' Day, and Public Safety Day.
Come experience the sights and sounds of the early 1900’s at Dakota City during the Dakota County Fair! Go back in time to a summer day in a rural Minnesota town of 1900 – walk through historic buildings like the Depot, one-room School, and family homes, or see demonstrations at the Millinery, Print Shop, and Carpenter Shop. You can listen to music at the Bandstand and grab a delicious root beer float in the Drug Store, then head to the Gift Shop or General Store for candy and more. Don’t forget a refreshing glass of lemonade or hot corn-on-the-cob from our Corn & Lemonade Stand!

Get an up close and behind the scenes look at many of the big rigs that support the City of Eagan’s parks, trails, and roads. Guests will see mowers, plow trucks, police and fire vehicles, the famous garbage truck, and more! Activities will include equipment demos, face painting, and giveaways while supplies last. The event will be held rain or shine. Help fill The Open Door truck by bringing a canned food donation. Additional parking will be available at Oak Hills Church (1570 Yankee Doodle Road).
